FLÂNEUR is an art project by PONKS (Julien Vinet & Sam Alekksandra), saluting the interlinked soul of a neighbourhood — the independent stores, the people who make them what they are, and the street connoisseurs who cruise them.

About the event
Inspired by the spirit of the flâneur — the urban wanderer, street-level connoisseur, and poetic observer — this project explores the streets of Ħamrun and its surroundings through poetry, visual art, and shared storytelling.
PONKS connects a select group of independent places run by migrants, asylum seekers, refugees, and Maltese locals — all weaving together the vibrant fabric of this town. From thrift shops to Eritrean eateries, each space becomes a muse and a site of poetic collaboration.
FLÂNEUR unfolds through:
An Exhibition: 15–22 June
Posters inspired by the comic strip aesthetic, written in English, Maltese, and the "language of the space," will fill the exhibition and local windows — forming a poetic map of the neighbourhood.
